Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager will be the primary person responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of the organization’s historical financial results. You will also manage day-to-day financial operations, the year-end audit processes, as well as forecasting and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Provide insights into financial performance and variances, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
• Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback for professional development.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain the integrity of financial information.
• Prepare financial forecasts and analyze variances between actual and forecasted results.
• Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support business initiatives and identify opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
• Prepare financial models to assess the financial impact of various business scenarios.
• Identify areas for process improvement within the company accounting function and implement efficiency measures.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes.

Qualifications

• Progressive experience in accounting and financial management, with a proven track record of increasing responsibility.
• In-depth knowledge and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a history of resolving financial challenges efficiently.
• Clear and coherent in both written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information clearly and concisely.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and departments, fostering a culture of teamwork.
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills, including experience in staff training and development.

Screening Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or a related field.
• Minimum of six (6) years of cumulative experience in public or private accounting.
• Must have a stable employment history.
